Tell us your wishes and make sure your pension benefits go to the right people. 

Did you know that in the last year, 17 members of the Plan died without completing a nomination form, meaning that the Trustee had to decide how to pay over £1.5 million in benefits? 

Your membership of the Plan provides valuable benefits for your loved ones, so it’s important that we know your wishes – especially if your situation might be complicated. An up-to-date nomination helps the Trustee make sure any benefits that are due can be paid without delay or additional distress to your family. 

It’s a good habit to check and confirm your nomination once a year, even if there are no changes to your circumstances. The older your nomination, the more research the Trustee has to do to ensure it’s still valid and the longer it takes to pay the benefits. 

Without your nomination form, the Trustee must decide who your benefits go to. With the best intentions, this may not be the person you would have chosen yourself.
